Update: Decided a "shared" Vine was better than a grainy GIF for this particular subject matter.

GIF made from a video by Matthew Geller [YouTube]
34th Street subway station
Am working on a series of GIFs to document my projections in the recent BYOB NY show. Rafael Rozendaal's YouTube video of the event is my source of clips at this point--I really appreciate that he got some good shots of the work. Here is the first GIF. My "blue bomb" remix is in the center. Note also one of Ryder Ripps' peripatetic frames rather dramatically descending on the right to enclose another work (not sure whose). Jeremy Bailey's projection is on the left. I like how every part of this GIF is in some kind of independent motion.
Empire Obstructed, YouTube video by Aron Namenwirth.
Artist moves to Brooklyn, is fortunate to have Empire State Building view out his studio window, until, after many years, the building next door is demolished and construction begins on a... hotel! Yes, you read right, a high rise hotel is going up in Williamsburg in the middle of the depression. And it's not anywhere near the waterfront. What a senseless waste of a view.
Recasting Andy Warhol's famous film for the age of gentrification and short attention spans, Aron Namenwirth presents a time lapse video record, spread out over many months, of the gradual covering up of his view by a... say it again without laughing... Williamsburg hotel.
